Tuesday, September 24

  • Spectrum Technologies, Inc., announced the release of their new wireless ISFET pH & EC probe, which allows for direct soil measurement of pH and EC all in one. According to the company, the glass-free probe provides easy, lab accurate soil measurement via Bluetooth connection to your mobile device. Learn more.
  • FireFly Automatix announced it was selected by Black Desert Resort to autonomously mow and maintain its golf course fairways during the highly anticipated Black Desert Championship in October. Launched last year and now delivering to golf courses and other applications across North America, the AMP-L100 uses FireFly's QuickPlan software to create mowing patterns that perfectly align the striping direction for the entire course. Once created, the cloud-based mowing patterns can be utilized by all AMP mowers to ensure that the stripes are in the exact same place every day. Learn more.
  • Hunter Industries announced the release of their new MP Rotator MP-820 Nozzle, which according to the company offers coverage from 15' to 24', expanding the 0.8 in/hr precipitation rate coverage of the MP800 Family. Learn more.
  • Aquatrols announced the addition of two new team members. David Libby is the new Territory Manager for the Northeast. Libby, a GCSAA Class A superintendent with more than 25 years of industry experience, joins the Aquatrols team after a successful tenure at Prouts Neck CC in Maine. Kate Garassino, previously the Clay Technology Solutions Marketing Manager at Profile Products, joins the company as Marketing Manager for the golf market and Aquatrols’ new sports field marketing team.

  • Valley Green, an Advanced Turf Solutions Company, announced that they will begin operating under the Advanced Turf Solutions name starting January 1, 2025. Valley Green originally merged with Advanced Turf Solutions in 2022.

  • LebanonTurf announced the launch of ProScape 20-0-4 100% PCSCU SOP 8% Ca with .08% Mesotrione, the industry’s first and only Mesotrione combination product that does not contain phosphorus designed for routine turf maintenance. ProScape 20-0-4 100% PCSCU SOP 8% Ca, is a new, SGN 150, blended product that controls more than 46 grassy and broadleaf weeds, including some of the most troublesome weeds, like crabgrass, dandelion, and yellow nutsedge. It is labeled for use on golf courses, athletic fields, and residential and commercial turf. Learn more.

  • Nufarm announced the EPA registration of Allstar Herbicide, a new fast-acting herbicide for use on cool-season turfgrasses developed to single-handedly control grassy weeds, nutsedge and tough broadleaf weeds like spurge, clover, dollarweed, ground ivy, oxalis, wild violet and Virginia buttonweed. Allstar will be available to order on this year’s Nufarm Edge Rewards Program.

  • Target Specialty Products announced the launch of their 2024-2025 Early Order Program (EOP), running from September 1 to December 16, 2024. Learn more on the company's website.

Tuesday, September 3

  • Mach 1 Ultradwarf Bermuda announced a new company website. Mach1greens.com was launched in late August. It is the grasses’ official website for comparative research data, an interactive map, and list of golf courses planted with Mach 1, and agronomic guidelines for ultradwarf greens management.
