The Everglades GCSA has donated $5,000 to support the Environmental Institute for Golf (EIFG), the philanthropic organization of GCSAA. With the donation, the chapter maintains its status in the EIFG’s Platinum Tee Club, which recognizes organizations that give $5,000 or more annually.

The Everglades GCSA is recognized at the Presidential Club level of the EIFG’s Cumulative Giving Program, which designates a donor that has contributed between $100,000 and $249,999 since 1987.

“Engaged chapters like the Everglades GCSA are the backbone of our association,” says Rhett Evans, CEO of GCSAA and the EIFG. “Their donation to the EIFG helps us continue to support the future of the game through research, education and advocacy.”

The Everglades GCSA was founded in 1968 and is one of 99 GCSAA-affiliated chapters in North America.

“The Everglades GCSA is always proud to donate money each year to help fund the EIFG,” says Aaron Ohloff, president of the Everglades GCSA. “I know I speak for the entire chapter when I say that as golf course superintendents, we all understand and respect the balance between turfgrass conditioning and the environment. It is extremely important that the EIFG continues to have the resources necessary to continue their efforts of research, education and advocacy.”
