  • DLF Pickseed is proud to announce it has unified its brand and business under the name DLF - the global market leader in forage and turf seed. The new structure allows for collaboration across operations and shared services that are foundational to sustainable growth and customer success. Customers will continue to have access to the same products, brands, and staff as they do today. The new alignment does however bring greater availability to enhanced services, tools, and support by allowing DLF to focus its resources. 
  • The FairWays Foundation has now completed its third grant cycle, bringing the total funding to $441,791 since its inception with 29 projects supported across the USA, Canada and UK. The FairWays Foundation is a stand-alone 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting conservation and stewardship within the turf industry and beyond. The foundation supports conservation-based projects both big and small by granting funds to successful applicants globally. 12 projects have been funded in the 2022 grant cycle, totalling $169,000 in funds.   • Brit Stenson, ASGCA, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, was elected president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) at the organization’s recent 76th Annual Meeting in Providence, Rhode Island. Stenson has a “least disturbance” design philosophy that takes a sustainable, pro-active environmental approach to the wide variety of sites that he encounters. Stenson says he wants to make sustainability a central focus of his presidency. Stenson will serve as ASGCA President through fall of 2023.

  • Bayer has completed the sale of its Environmental Science Professional business to the international private equity firm Cinven, after the two companies had entered into a corresponding agreement in March. The divested business is set to operate as an independent company called Envu. The business, headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, is a global leader offering solutions to control pests, disease and weeds in non-agricultural areas such as vector control, professional pest management, vegetation management, forestry, and turf and ornamentals.
