Par West Turf, a golf course landscape and maintenance supply company in Huntington Beach, Calif., has donated $15,000 to the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) to support the Disaster Relief Fund, which is administered through the GCSAA Foundation. Par West has made a commitment to donate to a worthy cause each quarter of the year, and GCSAA is fortunate to have received its first donation of 2023.

“GCSAA is grateful for the generous contribution from Par West Turf, which will undoubtedly make a difference in the lives of our members who have reached out for assistance via the GCSAA Disaster Relief Fund,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said. “We thank Par West Turf for its consideration and support.”

With this donation, Par West Turf joins the GCSAA Foundation’s Statesman Club as part of the Foundation’s Cumulative Giving Program.

“GCSAA's commitment to helping provide relief for Florida last year is truly inspiring, and we were proud to offer a helping hand. Par West is honored to thank the GCSAA for all their work to improve the situations of the impacted superintendents and course staff during that unfortunate situation,” said Chris Normandin, president and CEO of Par West.

GCSAA established the Disaster Relief Fund in 2006, in reaction to Hurricane Katrina, to assist GCSAA members who suffered personal loss. The fund continues to be a resource for members who face tragedy caused by natural disasters, and in 2020 those affected by COVID-19 also became eligible to receive relief funds.
